This 50 year-old woman wore a B-cup bra and desired to regain her fuller breast shape from her youth. In her procedure Dr. Chang placed two 325cc silicone-gel implants in the "dual-plane" position, under the mammary gland and behind part of the pectoralis muscle of each breast. This approach has numerous advantages over standard submuscular placement. Because the surgeon does not need to reposition the entire pectoral muscle, the implant is easier to position, and since the implant pocket is created mostly in soft tissue, patients typically recover faster and more comfortably with this approach.

This patient's new breast shape nicely fills out her upper half, and she is very pleased to be able to wear a full C-cup bra. In these photos taken one year after her procedure, her results significantly enhance her overall appearance and look very balanced and natural for her frame.
