Meet Dr. Tilt

A native of New England, Dr. Alexandra Tilt grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Harvard University with a BA in History of Science. She ventured south to the University of Virginia, where she earned her medical degree and graduated with honors as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then spent six years training in Washington, DC in the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program at Georgetown University Hospital, serving as Chief Resident during her final year.

Throughout residency she engaged in both research and medical innovation; she is the author of over 14 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and she currently has a patent pending on a specialized surgical drape. She has been recognized by the Georgetown faculty for her excellence in clinical skills and by the medical students for her dedication to teaching.

Dr. Tilt enjoys both reconstructive and aesthetic plastic surgery, and she is passionate about making patients feel comfortable, informed and pleased with their entire surgical experience.

When not treating her patients, Dr. Tilt loves spending time with her husband, a Navy orthopedic surgeon, their baby daughter and yellow lab. Her hobbies include fly fishing, horseback riding, hiking and baking.
