Many women want defined cleavage that will look great in a bathing suit or low-cut top. Breast augmentation, also known as breast implant surgery, is a popular option for women who want to increase their breast size and enhance their cleavage.
This procedure can enhance cleavage for women who have smaller or wider-set breasts, or who simply want more pronounced cleavage. However, there are a few factors to consider when deciding on breast augmentation if cleavage enhancement is one of your main objectives.
Factors That Determine Cleavage After Breast Implants
Breast tissue: Based on your individual measurements and the amount of existing tissue between your breasts, it may be necessary to modify the pocket created for your breast implants, either to position your breasts closer together or to increase the distance between them. This can significantly impact the amount of cleavage you have after breast implants.
Implant placement: The position of the implant in relation to the chest wall and breast tissue can affect cleavage. Implants placed under the pectoral muscle might provide more support and a more natural appearance, while implants placed above the muscle can create more pronounced cleavage. Most women choose to have their implants placed below the muscle for a more natural look, but that doesn’t mean that you won’t have a good amount of cleavage when you want it, especially when wearing a padded or push-up bra.
Bras and padding: A well-fitted bra can help lift and support the breasts, creating the appearance of more cleavage. Bra inserts or padding can also be used to add volume and enhance cleavage.
Implant size and type: In general, the larger your implants, the more cleavage you will likely have. But size isn’t everything. There are two main types of breast implants – saline and silicone. While both can enhance breast augmentation cleavage, some women find that saline implants can create slightly more cleavage, while silicone implants can provide a more naturally enhanced look and feel. In reality, implant type should play very little role in the amount of cleavage you will have after surgery.
