This 49 year old young lady lost 80 pounds and had two previous pregnancies. She was unhappy about the excess skin that remained after the weight loss. In our office-based ambulatory surgical center we were able to perform a full high lateral tension abdominoplasty under IV sedation without the need of a breathing tube. A regional TAP block was used for intra-operative and post-operative pain control with Exparel. This allowed for a comfortable recovery. She is shown before and 6 months after surgery.
