This 30-year-old female did not like the size or shape of her breasts. She thought they looked “saggy” and “deflated.” She was considering breast augmentation in Columbia and began researching plastic surgeons online. She came across Dr. Chang’s website and was impressed with his education, training and experience. She decided to schedule an appointment and see if breast implants were right for her.
During their meeting, Dr. Chang was able to answer all of her questions about plastic surgery in Columbia. She was able to try on various sizes of implants to see which would look best. Since she was concerned about safety, Dr. Chang explained the difference between silicone and saline implants. He noted that saline implants are very safe because they are filled with a salt-water solution that can be absorbed by the body without unwanted side effects if rupture occurs. He told her that silicone implants are equally safe because they are made of a cohesive gel that will not leak if the implant is punctured. She liked the look and feel of silicone implants, and so she chose them for her breast augmentation.
For her procedure, Dr. Chang used a transaxillary incision under the arm. This approach leaves only very discrete scarring with no marks on the breasts. He used 300 cc silicone implants with a moderate-plus profile to give her breasts ample projection from the chest wall. The implants were placed under the muscle to reduce the visibility of any rippling that may occur.
Now, her breasts are much shapelier and have better volume. She is very pleased with the results and is grateful to Dr. Chang for giving her a natural, yet enhanced, appearance.
