Breast Augmentation

A number of factors can contribute to loss of volume in the breasts. The most common are age, weight loss and pregnancy. This 48-year-old woman noticed that her breasts had become droopy, and she wanted a full, youthful look. She was interested in Columbia breast augmentation and contacted Dr. Chang because of his credentials as a board-certified plastic surgeon and because of his reputation as a caring and honest professional.

Her initial consultation included an in-depth discussion of breast augmentation, including the benefits, risks and options, and a physical evaluation. Dr. Chang took photographs and measurements in order to customize a surgical plan that would work best for her. She tried on many different breast implant sizers and settled on 325 cc smooth, round silicone implants. Dr. Chang explained that round implants are very popular because they give more fullness to the upper breasts. After she felt confident with her decisions, she made an appointment for plastic surgery in Columbia.

Her implants were inserted through incisions made in the breast folds. This discrete location is well hidden and provides the surgeon greater control over the implant placement. Her implants look very natural and are well-proportioned to her body. She loves her new look and is glad she made the decision to have surgery.
