Breast Reconstruction Case # 5049

This 44-year-old woman with right breast cancer had a right-side mastectomy and reconstruction using her own tissues. She underwent right skin sparing mastectomy with immediate tissue expander placement and left breast reduction for symmetry. Three months later, she underwent right breast tissue expander removal and DIEP flap reconstruction using her abdominal tissue. She then underwent minor revision with fat transfer to bilateral breasts and right nipple reconstruction.
