This 50-year-old female’s breasts were so large that they caused her to suffer from severe back pain. She carefully researched breast reduction in the Baltimore area and came upon Dr. Chang’s website. Upon hearing about Dr. Chang’s successful record with this procedure, she decided to schedule a consultation with him.

During the consultation, Dr. Chang described the benefits of breast reduction surgery, including the possibility that it could lead to a more active lifestyle. He explained that breast reduction can often reduce chronic neck and back pain as well as skin irritation and shoulder pain from bra straps that macromastia (overly large breasts) can cause. She elected to have Dr. Chang perform plastic surgery in Columbia based on his reputation and on his explanation that breast reduction can greatly improve posture.

During the procedure, Dr. Chang removed 3,300 grams of tissue from the right breast and 2,400 grams from the left breast. The patient’s formerly intrusive and pendulous breasts are now a more manageable size, allowing her to live more comfortably and actively.
