This 18-year-old man developed unilateral gynecomastia during his early teenage years, and his left breast became overly large. While this condition sometimes resolves on its own, in his case, it did not.

He started researching doctors who perform surgery for male breast reduction in the Baltimore area and found Dr. Chang’s practice online. Encouraged by Dr. Chang’s reputation as a talented surgeon, the young man scheduled a consultation.

Dr. Chang took the time to explain the finer points of breast reduction during the patient’s initial consultation prior to plastic surgery in Columbia. He detailed how male breast reduction eliminates excess fat and soft tissue that can cause enlargement of one or both sides of the male chest. He reassured the patient that this procedure would give him a flatter, more symmetrical chest.
