This lovely 37 year old woman had breast implants placed previously by another surgeon in a submuscular plane. Unfortunately, she developed capsular contracture and superior displacement of her right breast implant with pain and discomfort. Previous implants were 370cc. Under twilight anesthesia at our surgical center, a PECs block was placed for regional anesthesia. During surgery, the right implant was found to be ruptured and both implants were removed completely. A new subfascial “pre-pec” pocket was created and her new, smaller implants were placed in this pocket. Following this, a vertical style breast lift was performed to reshape her breasts. She is healing beautifully and is seen here early in her recovery about 1 month after surgery.
